Young Research Fourm (YRF)

Objectives: foster academic interest of students on migration, displacement and human rights issues of Dhaka University and other institutions help develop their research and analytical skills.

Nature of Involvement: Participate at monthly meetings Engage in empirical research under senior researchers identify and develop projects and conduct independent research presentation of research findings at YRF meetings presentation at regional seminars engage in policy advocacy write reports for newsletters write reports in the print media.

Internship Programme: 3 from the UK, 1 from Ireland and 1 from France 2 will join shortly from the UK Topics: Labour migration from Bangladesh to UK Student migration from Bangladesh to UK Bangladesh and the GATS Mode 4 Internal Displacement in the CHT and Rights-based Approaches to Rehabilitation Migration as livelihood strategy of the char people in North-east Bangladesh Bangladeshis in Italy and Spain.
